In June 2018, Greg Butterfield commenced his tenure on Cybage’s Board of Directors; however, by September 2023, he gracefully transitioned to a distinguished position as a member of the Advisory Board within Cybage. A renowned software industry veteran, Greg's stellar years of experience spans multiple executive, board, and advisory roles.
Known for his tenure at Altiris as the Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO, Greg guided the company to eight consecutive years of revenue growth and profitability. He was the driving force behind 11 acquisitions and he successfully completed an IPO in 2002 in the face of a notable economic downturn. In the same year, Greg was honored with the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Later, in 2006, he was invited as the Technology Pioneer at the World Economic Forum. Greg joined Symantec through the company’s acquisition of Altiris and held the Group President rank for its Servers and Storage business units.
The tech trailblazer has held several executive-level positions in his career of more than 25 years, including President of the Utah Information Technology Association; Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the largest university in Utah, Utah Valley University; CEO of Vivint Solar; he also serves on the boards of Omniture, which was acquired by Adobe; Venafi; ContentWatch Inc., and continues to be the Chairman of Board at LGCY Power, one of the fastest growing solar companies in the United States.
Currently, Greg is the Founder and Managing Partner at SageCreek Partners. SageCreek Partners has helped more than 100 companies realize their business potential by extending end-to-end operational, networking, human capital, and technological support; several SCP clients have gone on to have successful IPOs and establish themselves as leading players in their respective domains.
