Cybage partners with NASSCOM Foundation to launch Digital Literacy Centre in Pune
Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd. and NASSCOM Foundation today jointly announced the launch of the National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Centre dedicated to training persons in Digital Literacy. Cybage will facilitate the training infrastructure and trainers at the centre that has opened in the Khulewadi slum near Chandan Nagar.
This centre is expected to train 500 people in a year on all digital devices, specifically, computers and mobile phones. Once trained, the beneficiaries will be able to send emails, network on social media, buy from e-commerce websites and will even know how to use the Internet to avail various government services such as registering for Aadhar cards, ration cards and PAN cards.
On this occasion, Ritu Nathani, Director, Cybage, and Managing Trustee, CybageKhushboo, the CSR arm of Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd said, “Digital Literacy is one of the important pillars of the Honourable Prime Minister’s ‘Digital India’ campaign. The NDLM is a far-sighted, dynamic and integrated platform of digital literacy awareness, education and capacity programmes that will help the rural and underserved communities to fully participate in the global digital economy. NASSCOM Foundation is the industry partner to the Government of India to accomplish the first phase goal for NDLM or ‘DISHA’ by making 52.5 lakh individuals in India digitally literate in the next four years.
