Certified EHR is the current buzzword. Every clinician would be looking for a certified EHR for their facility. Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) is a nonprofit organization which was formed to create specifications that every EHR should follow to be certified. CCHIT comes out with new specifications every year, current specification criteria exists for year 2008, with additions and changes carried out in each release.
