Cybage Asha, the corporate social responsibility wing of Cybage Software, contributed a sum of Rs 15 lakh to six key Pune-based charitable organizations as part of its Diwali celebrations. Through a funfair organised at Cybage premises, Cybage employees and Cybage Asha jointly aimed at spreading cheer to the less fortunate.
A statement issued by Cybage Asha said that, Rs five lakh was donated to Inlaks and Bhudhrani Hospital and Rs two lakh to five non-governmental organisations namely -- Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalpa, Punrutthan Samarasata Gurukulam, Chaitanya Mahila Mandal, Swatantryaveer Sawarkar Vasatigruh and My Home India.
Deepak Nathani, founder, Cybage Asha said in the statement, "The festive season is the best time to give back to society. This Diwali, we emphasized on making medical services more accessible to those who are unable to afford it. In addition, we also focused on motivating the underprivileged women and youth by providing them with better quality education and training towards a brighter future."
The statement said that, Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalpa, Punrutthan Samarasata Gurukulam and Chaitanya Mahila Mandal take care of holistic development of community through women empowerment and youth development initiatives by providing education and vocational training to children of sex workers.
Swatantryaveer Sawarkar Vasatigruh provides hostel accommodation to children from villages while My Home India is dedicated to bridging the gap between the people of North East India.
